The Bible is the foundation of everything we do. We strive to instill a Christian worldview and work ethic in our students as well as Christian character. Our teachers do their best to model Christlike behavior to the students and stress a disciplined and a Holy lifestyle. 1 Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
We primarily use the ABeka curriculum and other recognized Christian curriculum. As an ACSI associated school, our focus is on college prep courses. However, our high school students also have the opportunity to attend the local Vocational-Technical school for part of the day to learn a vocational trade. Our Juniors and Seniors may chose to take college level courses at Allegany College of Maryland. Our class sizes are small which allows us to meet the individual needs of the students in a loving and supportive atmosphere. We are able to challenge students who excel as well as meet the needs of those who have specific learning challenges. Many of our Alumni students have graduated from colleges such as Messiah College, Lancaster Bible College, Valley Forge Christian College, Allegany College of Maryland and California University of PA, just to name a few. Additionally, some of our former students have chosen to serve their country in the Armed Forces. At FCA, we challenge our students academically and encourage them to do their best in everything they do. Our faculty are experienced educators who desire to serve the Lord. They greatly value each student and work hard to establish caring relationships with our students and their families. Towards the end of the school year, we assess all students using standardized testing, specifically TerraNova and InView. Our previous years results show that the majority of our students are at or above national levels in all subject areas. . |

My time at FCA (Formerly Snake Spring Valley Christian Academy) was a fundamental foundation to the women I am today. My teachers gave me an example of what Godly men and women look like. I saw the importance of things like having time with God and fellow-shipping with other believers. My classmates and I encouraged each other in our spiritual walks. Through out my later years in high school, I began to feel that God was calling me to the mission field. My teachers encourages me to pursue God’s call and were excited for me. I have continued my Christian education into college at Messiah, here my professors encourage me to find ways that my degree can be used to better God’s kingdom here and abroad. Christian education impacted my life in so many great ways.

FCA (Formerly SSVCA) offered me a great high school experience. With the staff and students at the school I developed a strong foundation for my faith and found accountability in my daily life. I was blessed to have such devoted and hard-working teachers who constantly encouraged me to strive for my best. There was never a time during high school when I was unable to ask for help, whether academically or spiritually. I have so many fond memories from the school, and am always excited for a chance to visit.

I attended FCA (Formerly Snake Spring Valley Christian Academy) from 2008-2013. I was beyond blessed to be able to attend a school with such an incredible Christian atmosphere! The teachers were willing to work one on one with a student who needed extra help, were willing to offer a smile to anyone who walked through our front doors, and the students and teachers had such a connection that we were like a family! I have learned so much from the teachers and parents that walked through the doors. Even from being tortured in English with adverbs and adjectives, learning to have such a strong faith, and to knowing that you are loved by everyone! FCA has done a great job of preparing me for college. It gave me the opportunity to know how to work through tough classes, taught me to communicate with people in a professional way, and taught me to do everything for God's glory!

FCA (Formerly SSVCA) has been a huge part of my life. I have spent most of my high school career at FCA, and God taught me many lessons during those years. It is always a blessing to have teachers that are willing to give you some extra time in all situations. Attending a Christian college has blessed me too. God is always teaching me something new, and my spiritual life has grown so much since I have started attending Valley Forge Christian College.
