Mrs. Amy Will - Administrator & Middle / High School Bible Teacher (7th through 12th)
Mrs. Will joined our staff as Administrator in the fall of 2014. She holds a B.A. in Psychology as well as a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with a special emphasis in child and family therapy from Geneva College. She graduated with honors and has worked in many different settings including working as the Director of an alternative school for children for 10 years. Mrs. Will also maintained a private Christian counseling office for 12 years. She and her husband Matthew have two children, Elisabeth and Aaron who both attend FCA. Together they own and operate Freedom Metals Mfg. Outside of school the Will's give horseback riding lessons and show Quarter Horses. As a family, they attend church at Faith Assembly in Roaring Spring, PA. "I feel very blessed to be called to this place of ministry. The Lord gives me an amazing opportunity every day to touch young lives and guide students in their personal relationship with the Him. It is also a precious gift to work with a staff, board members, and families who love the Lord and seek to serve Him."

Mrs. Kerri Sarver - Asst. Administrator & Middle / High School Heritage Studies Teacher (7th through 12th)
Mrs. Sarver has been with the school since August 2010. She holds a B.A. Degree in History from Lycoming College and received her Pennsylvania Teaching Certification after completing the Teacher Intern Program at Wilson College. She also holds a PA private school license for History and has her ACSI Teaching certification in History as well. Mrs. Sarver is also ACSI Certified at a Secondary Principal. In addition, Mrs. Sarver has 15 graduate level credits through Regent University and Indiana Wesleyan University in Christian school administration. Mrs. Sarver teaches U.S. History, World History, Geography, Government, Economics and PA History. Mrs. Sarver is active at Time Ministries Church in Bedford, where she teaches adult LIfe Enrichment class on Sunday mornings. Additionally, Mrs. Sarver is a U.S. Army and Pennsylvania National Guard Veteran with 14 years of combined service. When not at school or church, Mrs. Sarver enjoys spending time with her husband Larry and her two miniature dachshunds, Jethro and Frank. "It has been such a blessing to work with the faculty and students of FCA. I love teaching the next generation about God's hand in shaping world events."

Mrs. Lana Blackburn - Middle / High School Math and Science Teacher (7th through 12th)
Mrs. Blackburn is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College, graduating with highest honors and holding a B.A. in Bible and Elementary Education. Her previous experience includes three years as a christian school teacher and four years of homeschooling. Mrs. Blackburn has been with FCA since 2017. She and her husband have five children, who are all attending FCA. Mrs. Blackburn is a member of Bedford Bible Church and enjoys helping with the children's ministries, including nursery, VBS, and a Wednesday evening children's class during the summer months. "In 2001 the Lord placed a call on my life to serve Him in full time ministry. Since that time, I have always strived to do just that. I have always loved teaching and am so thankful for the opportunity to serve my Savior in this way."

Mrs. Alisha Guyer - PreK 3 & 4 Teacher
Mrs. Guyer started working at FCA in August 2017. She earned a certificate in Business in 2001. She has teaching experience from previously working in a preschool/daycare. She attended and graduated from the same building FCA now occupies when it was Harmony Christian Academy. Mrs. Guyer doubles as our Preschool teacher and Physical education teacher. She is the Cross Country team coach. Mrs. Guyer is also a registered Black Belt in Okinawa Kenpo and Kobudo. She and her husband, Dustin, enjoy training together and teaching self defense seminars. They have one son, Jett who attends FCA and is on the Cross Country team. The Guyer family has a miniature dachshund named Oscar who keeps them on their toes. Mrs. Guyer is a member of the Waterside Church of the Brethren.

Mrs. Sheila Hood - 3rd thru 6th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Hood is currently finishing up her BA in Elementary Education with Interdisciplinary Studies at Liberty University Online, with a Minor in Adolescent Psychology. She has made the Dean’s list every semester with a grade point average of 3.5. She also holds an LPN license. She has worked as an LPN and a teacher’s assistant with Pre-K students at Head Start and has worked as a typing teacher with high school students at another Christian School. She has always had a heart for children, even as an LPN. She and her husband, Frank, have three biological children and they foster children ranging in ages 1 to 16 years of age. They will be adopting the 1 year old this year. As a family they attend Dry Run Independent Baptist Church. "As I look back over how the Lord called me to teach, Psalm 37:4 comes to mind"... “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”. "I look forwarding serving Him and reaching your children for Christ"!

Mrs. Christa Houck - Part-Time Teacher (Grades Pre-K and 3rd-6th)
Mrs. Houck graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1995. She has spent the last fourteen years homeschooling her sons, who are now ages 21 and 18 as well as enjoying her role as a military wife. She currently teaches at Altoona Bible Institute and has spent the last 15 years at teaching in various positions at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church which include helping with nursery, toddlers, and youth. She enjoys spending time with family, hiking, travelling, and running. "Teaching children is one of the things I enjoy most and I look forward to helping to teach and guide the students this upcoming year".

Mrs. Cathy Hess - School Secretary / Office Manager
Mrs. Hess joined the FCA staff in May of 2015. She has over 40 years of secretarial background and has received many certifications/awards throughout her career. She and her husband, Robert, have two children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She loves to read, crochet, calligraphy and work puzzles. She attends Faith Brethren Bible Church. "What a blessing from God to be afforded the opportunity to work with so many great students, families, and board members on an everyday basis". "God is surely within the hearts of everyone here".
